Portrait Award at the 137th Royal Ulster Academy Exhibition / by Brendan Fitzpatrick

I am thrilled to belatedly announce on my blog that I was awarded the prize for best portrait at the 137th Annual Royal Ulster Academy exhibition for my painting of Eoghan.

My portrait of Eoghan is an ode to my Irish friend, a musician and humble creative residing in Florence. I’m delighted that I now get to share his soul searching stare with a wider audience, and I already miss bumping into him with his puppy Oscar while writing this.

My painting is being proudly displayed in the Royal Ulster Museum in Belfast from the 19th of October 2018 - 6th of January 2019.
